Sarah Glesk is a dedicated dance educator, choreographer, and dancer from Spokane, WA. She
has served as an adjunct faculty member at Gonzaga University since 2013 and at Whitworth University since 2018. In addition, Sarah is a dance instructor at Spokane Ballet Studio and Artistry Motion and a sought-after guest teacher for summer intensives at various studios across Spokane. Her expertise encompasses ballet, pointe, contemporary/modern, jazz, choreography,
and dance conditioning.
Sarah earned her BFA in Dance from Cornish College of the Arts, graduating Cum Laude in
2006, where she performed in such works as Martha Graham’s Diversion of Angels. Her professional dance experience includes performances with companies Zoe Scofield and Juniper Shuey, Alloy Dance Project, Serendip, and Vytal Movement. Additionally, she co-founded the CanCan Castaways, contributing both as a performer and choreographer for the Seattle-based
cabaret dinner theater. Her choreographic work has been prominently featured in Kindling Dance Productions, Gonzaga’s annual Spring Dance Concert, the Spokane Film Project, 50-Hour Slam, and various music videos.
In the past year, Sarah’s choreography has gained recognition in Kindling Dance Productions' second season of Rising Tide and Ghostlight, Spokane Civic Theater’s production of Carousel, and Gonzaga’s Spring Dance Concert. She also directed several companies at Gonzaga University, including the Children Company for ODC’s Velveteen Rabbit and a Gonzaga University Repertory Dance Company, which will tour local studios this spring, presenting two pieces choreographed by Sarah and one by ODC’s founding and artistic director Brenda Way and performance director Mia Chong. Furthermore, after completing her training through the Mark Morris Dance Group Outreach Program, Sarah is excited to regularly teach Dance for Parkinson’s classes.
Outside of her professional commitments, Sarah enjoys gardening, cleaning, and spending time
with her family and friends!
